Out to sea she casts herself against the waves
Venerable to the unknown but
She paddles with all her might leaving everything behind
A quest for relief she seeks to find
The sun rises, its warmth touching her skin
Her thoughts and fears she allows them not to become king
Drifting amongst the currents of the oceans sands
Further and further she looks back to see land
The sea swells with each passing tide
Calmness now replaces her anxious mind
Its amongst the waves she seems to find
A peace within so gentle and kind
A sadness that once was known
Wanting now to let it all go
Cutting through the oceans break
She turns her board around steady in her wake
Here’s her chance as a wave begins to form
Now as one with the blue oceans storm
She leaps in her bound on her feet
Smiles to herself and say’s “This is what it’s like to feel free”
Riding that wave she has her say
It’s my time now and i’m more then okay…. 🙂
Heart pounding in her chest
Giving this ride her very best
Catching that wave a lot like life
I don’t give up not without a fight!
